We have an opportunity for people with an understanding of mental health and the enthusiasm to make a real difference to people’s lives.


 

Recovery Worker (18 hours per week) x 2

£18,124 per annum pro rata
 
This is a 12 month fixed term contract, based in King’s Lynn.
The successful candidates will start on 1st July 2019
 

West Norfolk Mind has been awarded funding to deliver the new Your Benefits in Mind support service. The service will hold drop in sessions once a week in three locations, King’s Lynn, Heacham and Downham Market. These sessions will be delivered by specialist Recovery Workers and supported by trained peer volunteers.
 
The service will offer support and advice on a one to one basis either in the community or within an individual’s home. These sessions will be available for people already accessing West Norfolk Mind services, via referral from other local organisations or via self-referral.
 
The service will support people through the process of claiming benefits. This could be:
 

As a first time claimant to explore the different benefits available
After a benefits review or a change in circumstance
Appealing a benefits decision
Re-applying for benefits
Supporting people to complete a PIP assessment
Supporting people through the change to Universal Credit process
