Recovery Services

Mental health problems take many forms . . .
. . . so do the roads to recovery

People who have experienced a mental health problem can and do lead full and productive lives. This is how West Norfolk Mind thinks of recovery – helping people build a way of life that suits them.

We know that what suits one person will not suit another. Our Recovery Services are designed to offer you as many choices as possible.

Our staff and volunteers are trained to work one-to-one or in groups to support and encourage you to take up the activities of your choice. This could include helping you to get back on your feet after a stay in hospital, to return to work, to make new contacts, or to get back in touch with old ones. We can also support you to build up independence in your own home.

We can help you take the first steps to recovery in the safe haven of our Mind centres. We have bases in King’s Lynn, Downham Market, Heacham and Swaffham. There you can meet staff, volunteers and others, learn new skills and follow shared interests. Most importantly you can win back your self-confidence.

To request a service or to find out more about our services and their prices, please contact us on 01553 776966. Alternatively, if you have a mental health worker, social worker or CPN, ask them to make a referral to us so you can use your Personal Budget to access our services.
